Let’s work together

Thank you for stepping up to help the cats in your neighborhood get their population under control! Trap – Neuter – Return (TNR) is a humane way to reduce cat problems by preventing unwanted breeding behaviors, and to rescue and re-home cats and kittens that can be socialized to people.

KAT Charities encourages TNR in our community and is available to help when needed. Since we are an all-volunteer group, with no staff at all. We don’t expect you to be able to do this work alone, but we can’t either: we need active neighborhood partners for this program to be sustainable…because this truly is a community effort.

Be aware: TNR is not a way to get rid of feral cats! TNR helps feral cats live in harmony with their human neighbors but it will not remove them from your community. Community cats that are too wild to be pets are returned to their neighborhoods in a TNR program after they have been sterilized, vaccinated and given a chance to heal. All TNR program participants must agree to take feral cats back or they will not be eligible for our assistance.

To request help of the KAT Charities TNR program, please tell us what you can provide and where you need our help.

KAT Charities TNR Request

Please be aware that we receive a high volume of requests daily through email, phone calls, and social media. We want to assure you that we are diligently working through all of these requests, despite having limited staffing and resources. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we strive to address each inquiry as efficiently as possible.

Mahalo,

The KAT Charities Team
